Are you listing a home that’s not selling? Today, I’m sharing a few tips to help move a listing that’s having trouble in the market.

1. Lower the price. The easiest, most effective, and perhaps the least desirable option is to lower the price. As we transition into the summer market, it will differ from the spring market. There might be more inventory available, and current interest rates are affecting pricing in certain markets. If your home is priced higher than it should be, a price drop could attract buyers from different price brackets who haven’t seen your listing yet.

2. Upgrade and stage. If you don’t want to lower the price, consider updating and staging your home. Simple changes like painting, making repairs, or even undertaking a small home improvement project can make a big difference. Freshening up a dated bathroom or kitchen can increase the perceived value of your home and attract buyers willing to meet your asking price.

“If your home is taking too long to sell, it’s a sign that changes need to be made.”

3. Change your marketing strategy. The third option involves enhancing your marketing strategy. With 93% of home buyers shopping online, an effective digital marketing strategy will make a significant difference. This means hiring professional photographers, or maybe a videographer to capture high-end walkthrough videos. Capturing aerial footage of local amenities, shops, and restaurants also increases your home’s appeal.
